She was predeceased by: her parents, Winston Napoleon and Vera Beatrice Polk (Irby Allen Whisenant); her daughter Sandra Kay Whisenant; and her siblings, Joseph Hugh Polk, Frank Eugene Polk, Charles Raymond Polk, George Polk, Edward Polk, Ann McGurik and Martha DeJean.

She is survived by: her son Michael Whisenant (Patty); her grandsons, David Whisenant (Allie) and Charles McVey (Jade); her great grandchildren, Spencer Mason McVey and Emma Grace McVey; her son Roger Whisenant (Angela); her grandson Ryan Whisenant; her son Terry Whisenant (Stacey); and her grandchildren, Mason Schmidt and Mylee Martin. She is also survived by mother and grandmother.
