She was predeceased by: her husband Robert J. Messer; her parents, James Peters and Dorthey Peters; and her granddaughter Kimberly Jo. She is survived by: her children, Rhonda Faye Craft Albertville (Kim), Jarrod Messer and Southside; her grandson Christopher Messer (Emily); her son Jimmy Messer (Nicole); her granddaughter Ariel Jo Kitchens; her great grandchildren, Madelyn Messer, Camille Messer, Mahaylla Messer and Aubree Darnell; and her sister-in-law Rachel Bradshaw (Howard) of Bonifay, Fla..

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital.
