He is survived by: his wife Mary Elizabeth McCain; his daughter Wendy Simpson (Jim); his grandson Jacob Simpson (Garda); his son Michael Scott McCain (Julie); his grandchildren, Madison McCain, Braden McCain and Lindsey-Kate McCain; and his sisters, Janet Dean and Patsy Tipton. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
