He was predeceased by: his daughter Billie Dale Whitt; his parents, Julian Whitt and Bertha Whitt; and his siblings, Floyd Whitt and Maureen Dempsey.
He is survived by: his wife Katherine Whitt; his children, Kathy Kilpatrick (Drexel) and Rickey Whitt; and his grandchildren, Billie Childers, Justin Whitt (Rachel) and Brea Kilpatrick. He is also survived by 8 Great Grandchildren.
