He was predeceased by: his father Howard Minyard; his stepfather Jack Hope; his brothers-in-law, Timothy "Bo" Brown Jr. and Dru Richey; and his grandparents, Fred, Lena Minyard, Aubrey and Gertrude Roden.

He is survived by: his wife Lisa Minyard; his sons, Joseph Minyard (Kesley) and Jeffery Minyard (Lindsey); his grandchildren, Kylen, Chandler, Josie, Blakely and Jaxon; his stepmother Virginia Minyard; his father-in-law Timothy Brown Sr.; his siblings, Mona Williams, Audrey Phillips (Tim), Angie Richey, Renee Castleberry (Ken), John Minyard (Teresa), Justin Stapler (Jackie) and Tim Keener (Yuliya); his brother-in-law Danny Brown; his nephews, Blaine (Emily), Dakota (Taylor), Jesse (Sarah), David (Holley) and Jeremy; and his niece Alexis.
