With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Janice McConnell Nelson of Attalla, Alabama, who passed away on August 27, 2024 at the age of 81. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband Milton Nelson; her parents, E. E. "Butch" McConnell and Lanie McConnell; her grandson Benjamin Clough; and her nephew Bubba McConnell.
She is survived by: her children, Joel Boggs (Regina), Jenny Ryals (Toby) and Leigh Helms; her grandchildren, Patrick Boggs (Whitney), Zack Boggs (DeeAnna), Taylor Clough and Matthew Helms; her great grandchildren, Jace, Ryleigh, McKinley and Wyatt Boggs; and her brothers, Eddie (Carol) and Steve McConnell (Cindy). She is also survived by nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, and many more cousins.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Attalla First United Methodist Church in her memory.
