He was predeceased by: his parents, Roy Humphrey and Ivadean Humphrey. He is survived by: his wife Elizabeth Humphrey; his sons, Kevin Humphrey and Ryan Humphrey; his granddaughters, Haley Humphrey and Cassidy Humphrey; his brother Douglas Humphrey (Joyce); his niece Beth Humphrey; and his nephew Chad Humphrey.

He also served as a volunteer fireman with the Southside Volunteer Fire Department and was a member and supporter of the Etowah Count Chapter of the American Heart Association.
