With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Donald Allen Hammett of Attalla, Alabama, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on July 12, 2024 at the age of 70. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, J. O. Hammett and Nellie Hammett; and his siblings, Michael A Hammett, Jimmy, Mildred, Evelyn, Edna, Joyce, Pat, Phyllis and Faye.

He is survived by: his significant other Debra L. Hammett; his children, Samantha Cantrell (Ralph) and Donnie Hammett (Mary); and his grandchildren, Trinity, Haden and Brooklyn. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
