He was predeceased by: his wife Earline Bell; his parents, Bessie Bell and Festus Bell; and his siblings, Stella Mae of Verlon, JD, Albert and Arthur.

He is survived by: his sons, Steve Bell (Peggy) and David Bell; and also Harold Collins. He is also survived by one granddaughter, 4 great-granddaughters, 2 great-great-grandsons, and numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital.
