He is survived by: his wife Melinda Buckelew Mackey; his son William Cade Mackey; his daughter-in-law Ashley Bennett Mackey; his grandson Luke Caldwell Mackey; his siblings, Cindy Brown, Rita Bussey and Dale Mackey (Patti); his sister-in-law Jan Mackey; and his in-laws, Susan Beck, Pat, Elaine Dobiesz, Dale, Kathy Clayton, Brad and Amy Buckelew. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
