He was predeceased by: his father Robert Jack Lassiter (Ada Bell Wall); his sons, Bobby Lassiter, Gary Joe McGhee and Martin Russell Lassiter; his grandson Joey McGhee; his great grandchild Schaefer Camryn McGhee; and his siblings, Comer Lee Lassitter, Carnis Lassitter, Milford Lassitter, Rubert Lassitter, Marshall Lassitter, Shirley White, Grace Myers, Sue Cumbie and Carol Cumbie.
He is survived by: his wife Maxine Lassiter of Atmore, Alabama; and his children, William Russell "Rusty" Lassiter (Sonya) of McCullough, Randall Rydell Lassiter of Ohatchee, David Allen McGhee of Atmore, Alabama and Elizabeth Linda Hamilton-Roche (John) of Gulf Breeze.
Visitation was held on Saturday, January 11th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Home (9260 US-31, Atmore, AL 36502). A funeral service was held on Sunday, January 12th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
