He was predeceased by: his parents, Sidney Trammell Fillingim and Maggie Mae Eddins Fillingim; his wife Emma Joan Fillingim (Bealor); his siblings, Sidney Maxwell Fillingim and Virgie Tabb (Fillingim); and his nephews, Sidney Claude "Butch" Fillingim and Rodney Maxwell "Rod" Fillingim.
He is survived by: his children, Walt Fillingim (Charlotte) of New Braunfels, TX and Kitty Day (Randy) of Atmore, AL; his grandchildren, Stacey Fillingim of Lafayette, LA, Jarrod Day (Crystal) of Andalusia, AL and Whitney Antley (Andy) of Lafayette, LA; his great grandchildren, Anders Antley, Scarlett Antley and Sawyer Antley; and his nieces and nephews, Mike Tabb, J. L. Bealor, Ruth Blinn and Elizabeth "Liz" Keyes.
