He was predeceased by: his grandparents, James, Hazel Crutchfield, John and Joyce Cotton; his stepdaughter Daizee Angus; his aunt Diane; and his uncle Lamar Smith.
He is survived by: his father John David Cotton Jr.; his wife Karmen Cotton of Flomaton, AL; his daughter Kayley Marie Cotton of Flomaton, AL; his stepdaughter Zoey Angus of Flomaton, AL; his mother Gail Cotton of Flomaton, AL; his aunts, Jennifer Woodfin (Walt), Julie Miller (Chad) and Faye Bradley Coover; and his cousins, Steve Bradley, Cindy Baggett, Chris Smith, Allison Woodfin, Stewart Woodfin, Raeleigh Woodfin, Ansley Claire Miller and John Edward Miller.
