He was predeceased by: his parents, Ebb McGhee and Jewel Willene Partin McGhee; his children, Jonathan Derek Perry and Lecie Jo McGhee; and his siblings, Tommy Earl McGhee, Bobby Lee McGhee, Preston "Pete" McGhee and Christine McGhee Parker.
He is survived by: his wife Linda Johnson Hons of Atmore, AL; his sons, Zachary McGhee (Lauren) of Simpsonville, SC and Jacob McGhee (Allison) of Daphne, AL; the mother of his children Sandra McGhee of Simpsonville, SC; his sisters, Betty McGhee Peacock (Curtis) of Poarch, AL and Angela McGhee DeVilbiss of Perdido, AL; and his niece Veronica.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, November 20th 2024 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Poarch Community Church (6210 Jack Springs Rd, Atmore, AL 36502). A funeral service was held on Thursday, November 21st 2024 at 2:00 PM at the Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home Chapel (1322 S Main St, Atmore, AL 36502).
