He was predeceased by: his parents, Charlie Rushing and Lois Rushing; and his siblings, Jean Brown and Eddie Rushing. He is survived by: his children, John Charles Rushing, Jr. of Crestview, FL, Jamie Rushing of DeFuniak Springs, FL, Tammy Rushing Felicilda (Weylin) of Crestview, FL and Sherry Capps (Jerry) of Jasper, AL; and his siblings, Victor Rushing, Patricia Owsley and Deborah Baggett. He is also survived by ten grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
