He is survived by: his wife Joyce McIlwain; his children, Jessica Crochet (Skeeter), Joseph McIlwain (Cathy), Kimberly Ward (Shane), Kaci Morris (Randall), Kevin McIlwain (Brittney), Kenny McIlwain (Kayla), Billy Griffis and Hillary Griffis; his siblings, Gene McIlwain (Kim), Danny McIlwain (Alisha), Louie McIlwain, Tammy, Paulette, Loretta, Connie, Becky and Debbie; his grandchildren, Shawn McIlwain (Sophia), Hunter Knighten, Hailey Knighten (Tate), Kailey Knighten (Tyler), Joseph McIlwain, II, Bubba Powell, Caden McIlwain, Breanna Bryant, Colby McIlwain, James McIlwain, Ziva McIlwain, Maecie Ward, Amanda Morris, Zayden McIlwain, Avayah McIlwain, Zack Edwards and Carson McIlwain; and his great grandchildren, Oliver Knighten, Kalin Knighten, Kingston Smith and Kai'Jai Brooks.
