He was predeceased by: his parents, O. D. Gibson and Ruby Gibson of Walnut Hill, FL.; and his siblings, Otis Gibson, Peggy Gibson Fowler and Linda Gibson Hickman.
He is survived by: his siblings, Billy Gibson (Sue) of Pace, FL, Leon Gibson of McCullough, AL, Audrey Ward (Joe) of Pensacola, FL, Nola Burnham of DeFuniak Springs, FL, Julia Foster of McCullough, AL and Joyce Neuss of Huntsville, AL; his sister-in-law Janice Gibson of Caldwell, OH; and his friends, Lorene Rolin and Lynn McGraw Fillingim. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation was held on Monday, November 18th 2024 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home (1322 S Main St, Atmore, AL 36502). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, November 19th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home Chapel (1322 S Main St, Atmore, AL 36502).
