He was predeceased by: his parents, Elbert E. Godwin, and Mamie Sue Johnson Godwin, Sr.. He is survived by: his wife Maggie Lambert Godwin; his children, Roger Godwin, Kenneth R. Stabler (Michelle Edwards) of Atmore, AL and Mandy Emmons (Rusty) of Atmore, AL; his siblings, Clyde Godwin (Ellen) of Brewton, AL, Elizabeth Godwin of Excel, AL and Patricia Felts (Calvin) of Ollie, AL; his grandchildren, Grayson Emmons Freeman (Brannon), Garrett Emmons and Mayci Stabler; and his great grandchild Knox Freeman. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, family and friends.
