He was predeceased by: his wife Helene M. Whittington; his parents, Casey Claude and Lilly Mae Whittington; and his siblings, Shirley Amos and Roy Whittington.
He is survived by: his sons, Christian "Billy" Gerard Whittington (Shirley) of Talladega, AL and William David Whittington (Elaine) of Pine Grove, AL; and his granddaughter Debbie Wasdin (Andy) of Pine Grove, AL. He is also survived by seven grandchildren, twenty-two great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 26th 2024 from 12:30 PM to 1:30 PM at the Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Home (9260 US-31, Atmore, AL 36502). A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, November 26th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the Lottie New Home Cemetery.
