He was predeceased by: his parents, Eib Mims and Nettie Emery Jones. He is survived by: his sons, Daniel Mims (Jill) of Tyler, TX and James Mims of Canoe, AL; and his siblings, Robert Mims (Charlotte) of Westover, AL, Martis Mims (Wanda) of Jemison, AL and Clara Moore (Danny) of Carbon Hill, AL. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
