He was predeceased by: his parents, Pink Holly Carnley (Gladys Carnley) and Mary Ann Carnley; his daughter Belinda Lynn Carnley; his granddaughter Katie Potoczek; and his siblings, Glenn Carnley, Floyd Carnley, Horace Carnley, Lenell Carnley, Doug Carnley, Jeanette Morris, Thelma Petty and Mae Smith Owens.
He is survived by: his daughters, Teresa Davis (Kevin) of Pensacola, FL and Pam Potoczek (Jeff) of Century, FL; his brother Franklin "Shorty" Carnley of Davisville, FL; his grandchildren, Ryan Chavers, Lucas Chavers and Joel Baldree; his close friend Donna Brannen; his friend Dana Stevens; and his sons-in-law, Randy Chavers and Mose Baldree. He is also survived by six step- grandchildren, seventeen great- grandchildren.
