She was predeceased by: her parents, Adolph "Doc" Sutton, and Ouida Sutton, Sr.; her brother Adolph "Doc" Sutton, Jr.; and her son-in-law Edward J. McDonagh. She is survived by: her daughters, Kimberly Anita McDonagh and Elizabeth Ashley Lemieux; her grandchildren, Jean-Michael Lemieux (Autumn), Philip Kabatt (Jenna), Lauren Lemieux (Wesley), Gideon Kabatt, Jarrett-Robert Lemieux and Liam McDonagh; her great grandchildren, Quinn Lemieux, Veda and Isla Kabatt; and her siblings, Robert Sutton (MaryAnn) and Ouida Tartt. She is also survived by numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, and valuable friends.

Although suffering from Alzheimer's, heart issues landed Carolyn in the hospital.
