He was predeceased by: his mother Nell Bennett; and his stepmother Shirley Bennett. He is survived by: his father Paul Bennett; his son Mike; his wife Donna; his children, Cory Bennett (Nikole), Emily Bennett (Josh) and Sarah Bennett; his siblings, David Bennett and Anne Moore (Jeff); and his grandchildren, Nate, Natalie and Remi.

In lieu of flowers, donations should be made to Athens Main Street or Hospice of Limestone County.
