He was predeceased by: his parents, William Powell and Olive Powell; his wife Reba Campbell Powell; and his sons-in-law, James Thomas Phillips and Calvin Peter Holt.
He is survived by: his daughters, Lisa Holt and Rebekah Fentress (Donald); his grandchildren, Hannah Fox (Morgan), Noah Eakes (Brianna) and Dylan Phillips; his great grandchild Willa Kate Eakes; and his sister Frances Broadwater. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
