She was predeceased by: her parents, Buster Smith and Mary Robinson Smith; and her siblings-in-law, Wade Menefee, Tim Carter and Annette Smith.

She is survived by: her husband Randall Statum; her children, Troy Statum (Patti) and Mitzi Faulkner (Bill); her siblings, Carey Smith, Faye Menefee, Mary Frances Carter and Betty Sue Bryant (Gerald); and her grandchildren, Bodie Statum (Jeanne) and Montana Abel (Chase). She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Visitation was held on Thursday, December 19th 2024 from 12:00 PM to 1:30 PM at the McConnell Funeral Home (1200 E Forrest St, Athens, AL 35613). A funeral service was held on Thursday, December 19th 2024 at 1:30 PM at the same location.
