He was predeceased by: his parents, Johnny Pepper and Margaret Lewis Pepper; his wife Sarah Stovall Pepper; his grandson Trent Fain; and his siblings, Cloyd Pepper, Sydney Pepper, Paul Pepper, David Pepper, Frank Pepper, Morris Pepper, Nancy Faye Pepper, Eunice Pepper, Jane Rodman and Joan Raby.
He is survived by: his children, Tim Pepper (Kaye Robinson) of Elkmont, AL, Scott Pepper (Molly Jackson) of Lester, AL, Beth Spann (Chris) of Athens, AL and Emily Fain of Athens, AL; his grandchildren, Lance Pepper (Trish), Brandon Pepper (Kerrie), Bethany Barnett (Ezra), Brady Spann (Chelsea), Luke Spann, Claire Pepper and Graham Pepper (Stephanie); and his great grandchildren, Noah Barnett, Madison Pepper, Sarabeth Barnett, Chance Pepper (Ashleigh), Brynlee Pepper, Lakely Pepper, Georgia Spann, Penny Spann, Bronwen Lightner and Jedidiah Lightner. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Hospice of North Alabama or Ghana Mission fund for Steve and Kandie Taylor.
