He was predeceased by: his mother Mary Sumerel; and his stepfather Homer Sumerel. He is survived by: his wife Charlotte Austin Ball; his children, Randy Ball (Lisa Burns) and Angie Songy (Jason); and his grandchildren, Sam Songy, Allie Songy, Ethan Ball, Luke Songy and Demi Songy.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, January 18th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Valhalla Funeral Home (698 Winchester Rd NE, Huntsville, AL 35811). A graveside service will be held on Saturday, January 18th 2025 at 12:00 PM.
