She is survived by: her husband Gilbert George; her grandchildren, Amanda McNeese Thompson, Heath George, Nicole Putman (Chris) and Brooke Craig (Nathan); her great grandchildren, Owen George, Jame Putman, Austin Craig, Natalie George, Grayson Craig, Reid Putman, Lacey Thompson, Maggie Craig and Emilee Putman; and her grandchildren, Wendy Wright, Mike Garlen, Mike Bloodworth and Amanda Pack.
Visitation was held on Saturday, February 1st 2025 from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Limestone Chapel Funeral Home (322 US-31, Athens, AL 35611). A funeral service was held on Sunday, February 2nd 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location. Mrs. George was a member of Mt. Carmel Church of Christ, and was a member of the RSVP.
