He is survived by: his wife Deborah Rogers Strain; his children, Lauren Elizabeth Strain of Birmingham, Louisa Strain Marks (Brooks) of Birmingham, William Gray Strain of Birmingham, Chesley Michael Suttles (Lee) of Birmingham and Callie Brooks Michael of Atlanta; his grandchildren, William Brooks Marks, Jr. and Saima Elizabeth Marks; his sister Betsy Strain Gilbert (Nelson) of Colorado; and his friends, Doug Gates, John Bernhardt, Marlon Anderson, Curtis Grissom, John Plunk, Lakin Collins, Morris Lindsey, Doug Chapman, Wayne Wolfe, Jack McDaniels and Athens.
