He was predeceased by: his wife Donna Cottingham; his parents, Wallace Cottingham and Mary Lynn Hyatt Cottingham; his son Shawn George; and his brother Danny Cottingham.
He is survived by: his children, Schlyn Cottingham and Kelson; his stepdaughter Michelle Messner; his sister Tammy Stewart; and also, Damond Cottingham (Ashley) and Devyn Waggener (Chuck).
