He was predeceased by: his father Rev Bill Powell; his brother Billy Powell; his granddaughter Mariona Hankins; and his niece Crystinia Hinton King. He is survived by: his wife Michale Holloway Powell; his daughter Dani Holloway Hankins (Main); his grandchildren, Elijah Neely and Maria Hankins; his mother Mary Powell; and his siblings, Lynne Hernández (Blas), Shirley Hinton (Joey), Jerry Powell (Celeste) and Lisa Burchett (Malcom). He is also survived by five nieces and six nephews and numerous great and great great nieces and nephews.
