He was predeceased by: his parents, William Oscar Rankin and Sybil Wilson Rankin; and his grandparents, Wakley Wilson and Grace Carter Wilson. He is survived by: his brother Benjamin "Benny" A. Rankin Sr.; his nephews, Ben Rankin Jr. (Michaele) and Tom Rankin (Sherrie); his friend Fran Riddle; his aunts, Carolyn Wilson and Dixie Swindell; his close friends, Dewayne and Leah Baker; and also, Micah, Dusty and Jacob. He is also survived by numerous loving cousins and lifelong friends.
