She was predeceased by: her son George Rufus Boatman; her sisters, Marie Rogers, Cora Hanie and Maggie Bowen; her grandson Billy Ray Boatman, Jr.; her niece Angel Bowen; and her parents, Jack Eaves and Mary William Eaves.
She is survived by: her children, Billy Boatman, Sr. and Betty Star Boatman; her siblings, Sam Eaves (Gloria), Billy Eaves (Myrtle) and Gene Chapman; and her grandchildren, Christine McKim and London Boatman. She is also survived by great-grandchildren.
