It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Shirley Saxon Dawkins of Ashland, Alabama, born in Sylacauga, Alabama, who passed away on January 4, 2024, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert Harold Saxon and Rubye Wright Saxon; and her husband Max Dawkins. She is survived by: her son Duane Nappier (Wendy) of Ashland; her grandchildren, Colten Carr (Chassidie), Chelsea Nappier (Jai Galloway), Taylor Hamilton (Matthew) and Case Nappier (Katelyn Ary); her great grandchildren, Raelynn, Caraline, Ivy, Cameron and Iverson; her brothers, Bobby Saxon of Ashland, Michael Saxon (Pat) of Lineville and Harold Saxon (April) of Ashland; and her close friends, Wanda Brooks, Prissy Horn, Jo Fullbright, Judy Williams and Rhonda Smith.
