It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Shirley Lawhorn (Ashland, Alabama), born in Goodwater, Alabama, who passed away on June 5, 2019, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Ernest Lee Tate and Mary McClellan Tate; her husband Cecil Adron Lawhorn; her daughter Janet Denise Lawhorn; and her siblings, Ruth Price and Leon Tate.

She is survived by: her children, Barbara Schoggins (Jeff) and Kenneth Lawhorn (Terri); her grandchildren, Jonathan Lawhorn (Tara), Justin Lawhorn (Kristina), Michael Johnson (Valerie), Haley Thomas, Michael McCants (Brittany) and Travis McCants (Megan); her great grandchildren, Justin Stewart, Gracey Stewart, Jon Sawyer Lawhorn, Saylor Lawhorn, Chapman Lawhorn, Skylar Stewart, Mykel Johnson, Logan Johnson, Layton McCants, Loftyn McCants, Cooper McCants and Emma Cole McCants; her great great grandchild McKenzie Adams; and her sister Dean Craft.
