He was predeceased by: his parents, Rob Brown and Mattie Lee Brown; his wives, Faye Hawkins and Madura Haynes Brown; and his grandson Phillip Shane Wills.
He is survived by: his children, Rita Ann Easterwood of Ashland, Neati Faye Yarbrough of Alex City, Sally Jane Turley (Eric) of Ashland, James Robert Brown (Cari) of Pell City and Sherman Joseph Brown of Ashland; his grandchildren, Stormy Layna McClellan (Brent), Mandy Powell (Jason), Daveen Mae, David Kale, Robert Brown (Raegan), Kaitlyn Brown, Mattie Lee Brown (Andrew Lockhart), Jack Curtis Brown, Marshall Brown and Carson Brown; and his sisters, Eva Hudson and Heidi Rowland. He is also survived by 9 great-grandchildren, extended family and many friends.
