We are sad to announce that on February 8, 2025, Ricky Shirey (Ashland, Alabama) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Leonard "Buck" Shirey and Sara Moore Shirey. He is survived by: his siblings, Debbie Hallman (Tommy) of Coleta Valley, Robert Shirey (Camron) of Coleta Valley, Roger Shirey (Trish) of Ashland and Alvin Shirey (Shelly) of Chandler Springs; his stepsons, Justin Burnette of Chandler Springs and Josh Thornton of Fayetteville; and his grandchildren, Emma Burnette, Ella Burnette, Cooper Thornton, Easton Burnette and Reagan Thornton.
Visitation was held on Monday, February 10th 2025 from 5:30 PM to 8:00 PM at the Benefield Funeral Home-Ashland (85499 AL-9, Ashland, AL 36251). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, February 11th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
