She was predeceased by: her parents, James Hickman and Lillie Mae Hickman; and her husband Hilton Smith. She is survived by: her children, Kathy Jo Culwell of Hayden and Steven Smith (Debbie) of Ashland; and her grandchildren, Jeremiah, Ashley, Jonathan (Lauren), Benjamin (Amy), Mary Elizabeth Walker (Jason) and Anna Lee Cline (Cody). She is also survived by 12 great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and a large extended family.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, March 5th 2025 from 9:30 AM to 11:00 AM at the Benefield Funeral Home-Ashland (85499 AL-9, Ashland, AL 36251). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, March 5th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location.
