She was predeceased by: her parents, Edgar O. Cooper and Daisy Rogers Cooper; her husband James Curtis Giddens; her granddaughter Blair Catchings; her great grandchild Brehanna Cotney; and her siblings, Dot Logan, Larry Cooper, James, Ray and Roger Cooper.
She is survived by: her daughters, Tammy Askew Blackmon (Bill) of Valley Grand, Debbie Giddens Campbell (Brad) of Sylacauga and Belinda Giddens Catchings (Jeff) of Millerville; her grandchildren, Brandy Jones (Mike), Brian Askew (Claressa), Heather Askew, Chris Cotney, Elizabeth Walker (Nathan), Holli Campbell (Matt), Grace Amason (Jacob), Daniel Blackmon (Kally) and Robert Blackmon; her sister Geri Johnson (Jimmy) of Sylacauga; her close friend Shelia Harbin of Ashland; and her pet Lucy. She is also survived by 18 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren.
