It is with great sadness that we announce the death of John F. Godfrey of Ashland, Alabama, born in Moscow, Idaho, who passed away on July 5, 2022, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Russell Sylvester and Ella Katie McGee Godfrey; his children, Carla Hewitt and Jason Godfrey; his grandchild Windy Odum Zarrabel; his brother Ralph Godfrey; and his son-in-law Rex Odum.
He is survived by: his pet Susie; his wife Joyce Godfrey of Ashland; his children, Jenobie Jones (Winfred) of Ashland, Missy Pace (Tim) of Ashland and John Godfrey II (Sherri) of Monroe, GA; and his sisters, Ella Kay Harmon of Ashland, KS, Erma Dreas of Odum, GA, Joyce Zehner of Colorado Springs, CO and Cindy Percival of Alva, OK. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild.
