He is survived by: his wife Pat Purnell Runyan; his children, Nancy Runyan Gaston (Maury) and Walt Runyan (Lisa); his grandchildren, Cole Runyan and Alison Gaston; his half-sister Dianne Runyan Nolen; his stepsister Susan Runyan Oliver; and his niece Angela Poland Koch.
