It is with great sadness that we announce the death of JoAnn Pittard Cowan of Ashland, Alabama, born in Clay, Alabama, who passed away on November 10, 2022, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert L. Pittard and Sarah Birchfield Pittard; and her brother David Pittard. She is survived by: her children, Kelly Martin (Shawn) of Decatur and Kit Cowan of Ringgold, GA; her grandchildren, Ashley Kellett, Kobie Cowan, Mallie Martin, Kade Cowan and Gavin Martin; her sisters, Joyce Reynolds of Ashland and Becky Brooks of Ashland; and her caregivers, Margie Garrett and Carolyn Wheston.
Flowers will be accepted or memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Clay County or Amedysis Hospice.
