We are sad to announce that on November 26, 2024 we had to say goodbye to Glenell Haynes Smith of Ashland, Alabama, born in Alexander City, Alabama. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Curtis Haynes and Christine Haynes; her son Joel Schoggins; and her granddaughter Ashley Lynne Godwin. She is survived by: her husband David Smith of Ashland; her children, James Michael Schoggins of Millerville, Angela (Irondale) and Teresa Lynne Whitfield (Rodney) of Alabaster; her sister Geneva Claunch of Ashland; her nephew Jason Claunch of Guntersville; and her niece Karen Claunch of Ashland. She is also survived by four grandchildren; five great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Sunday, December 1st 2024 from 7:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Benefield Funeral Home - Ashland (85499 AL-9, Ashland, AL 36251). A graveside service was held on Monday, December 2nd 2024 at 12:00 PM at the BIG Springs Baptist Church Cemetery - Ashland.
