With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Dorothy Ann Edmondson (Ashland, Alabama), born in Clay, Alabama, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on November 24, 2024. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Otha Lee Jones and Eunice Horn; her sons, David, Joshua and Jeremy Edmondson; her grandchildren, Kaleb and Jamie Edmondson; and her sister Elizabeth Gardner.
She is survived by: her children, Margaret Tison (Ronnie) of Rockford, Christy Daugherty (Ronald) of Delta, James Edmondson Jr. (Sherry) of Lineville, Albert Edmondson of Lineville and John Edmondson (Christy) of Ashland; the father of her children James Edmondson (Mary Ann) of Lineville; and her siblings, Ellen Queen of Hollins, Kathy Cone of Tennessee, Lynn Jones of Goodwater and Pete Jones of Sylacauga. She is also survived by 20 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, November 26th 2024 from 5:30 PM to 8:00 PM at the Benefield Funeral Home-Ashland (85499 AL-9, Ashland, AL 36251). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, November 27th 2024 from 11:00 AM to 11:30 AM at the same location.
