He is survived by: his daughter-in-law Cindy O. Wheeles of Ashland; his grandchildren, Angie Parson, Keisha Taylor and Jamie Wheeles; and his brothers, Dwight Wheeles of Hueytown and John Merill of Orlando. He is also survived by 14 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild.
