He was predeceased by: his parents, Jesse James and Emily Cordelia Dyson; his siblings, Louise Avery, Nettie Bea Spann, Elouise Bonner, James Dyson, William Dyson (Bill), Horace Dyson and Shelby Peterson; and his grandchildren, Amanda Downing and Jacob Dailey.
He is survived by: his wife Luzell Dyson; his children, Cathy Downing (Kenny), Norma Dailey (Jimmy), Mary Adams (Larry), Francis Rhodes (David), Stanley Dyson (Lisa), Larry Gene Dyson and Royce Dyson (Nancy); and his friend Norman McDaniel. He is also survived by his 14 grandchildren; his 26 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews, cousins; 1 sister-in-law; 2 brothers-in-law.
