He was predeceased by : his parents, Charles Edward Godfrey and Hazel Thomas Godfrey; his parents-in-law, Samuel Jonathan Hall, III and Mary Egbert Hall; and his brother Howard Godfrey.
He is survived by : his wife Joan Hall of Ashford; his sons, Jonathan Godfrey of Kinsey and Whit Godfrey of Ashford; his siblings-in-law, Sam and Kathy Hall of Pine Mountain, Georgia; his extended family, Marion Barker of Dadeville and Ken Knox of Laurel, Mississippi; and his friend Jeffery Miles of Kinsey.
