With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Sara Whitaker Carlisle of Ashford, Alabama, who passed away on September 23, 2023 at the age of 86. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by : her parents, Clarence Bailey Whitaker and Lois Lynn Whitaker; her husband William Lewis "Bill" Carlisle; her daughter Tracey Lynn Carlisle; and her siblings, Alma Jean Whitaker and Jimmy Whitaker.

She is survived by : her children, Jeff Carlisle (Allison) and Lori Carlisle of Dothan, AL; her sister-in-law Gayle Whitaker of Jacksonville, FL; her grandchildren, Lindsey Owens (Eric), Austin Carlisle (Amber), Richard Carlisle and Jared Fordham; her great grandchildren, Easton Owens and Erica Owens (Callie Austin Carlisle); and her caregivers, Connie Hinson and Sherri Henson.
