It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Marvette Rice of Ashford, Alabama, who passed away on January 24, 2023, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his father Marvin Rice; his wife Myrtle Brunson Rice (Gwendolyn Turner Rice); and his sons, Stacey Rice and Derrick Rice. He is survived by: his sons, Chad Rice, Shawn Rice (Marla), Jonathan Rice (Mandee) and Marty Brunson (Brenda); his grandchildren, Olivia Rice, Andrew Rice (Kristi), Colby Rice (Laney), Lilly Rice, Jeremy Brunson (Sam) and Amanda Brunson York (Drew); and his siblings, Patricia King (Harold) and Lavon Rice (Ruth). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
