George Raymond Merritt Obituary

We are sad to announce that on September 12, 2022, at the age of 74, George Raymond Merritt of Ashford, Alabama, born in Dothan, Alabama passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his father Charles Ray Merritt; and his former wife Mabel Merritt (Sanders). He is survived by: his wife Carol Merritt (Cherry); his son George Merritt (Caroline); his granddaughters, Gracie and Emma Merritt; his child Summers Bell (Wesley); his grandchildren, Matheson and Merritt Bell; his brothers, Charles Merritt (Libby), Philip Merritt (Deloris) and Wayne Merritt; his stepchild Chris Aman (Alexa); his stepgrandchildren, Harper and Leni Aman; his stepdaughter Amanda Searcy (Chad); and his stepgrandsons, Grayson, Landon and Hudson Searcy. He is also survived by several nephews, nieces, and loving family members.
